i can ALMOST place that....... that storm passed by the house about 30 minutes ago,got the edge of it... it is DARK.

Yeah you’re out by the lake... it’s moving west to east so its inside 1604 now. That was on Tezel near Grissom. Just pulled into my driveway and my dusk sensor lights are on its crazy dark.

last night was a sweet light show. loud too. this here should be a good one too.

its always an exciting drive in the morning, black out, trying to keep an eye on what the road is doing....looking for those big puddles.

I live north east of there, in that box made by i-10, 1604, 281, and I-410, guess we didn't get the worst part of the storm, it was pouring here a few minutes ago but it's not dark anymore

Yep that’s the spot right by Berts Motor Werks the German car shop. I’m an up before the sun guy too. Highway 16 can be hairy when it’s dark and raining. This is also the part where I admit to spinning my S10 under a 410 overpass one morning in the rain. Fortunately it was like 6:30AM and no one was there to run into.

the folks on 16 are MOVING on. the speedo in the truck doesnt work, so i can only guess how fast we’re going. yeah, and its not only the puddles, but sometimes what has gotten washed over the road. seen, and narrowly missed a tree stump last flood. ...... downside too is that there is no one.... to help out.

I made it home (early, we lost power at work). Actually this morning was much more dangerous, got hit with a huge wall of water from a car going the other way through a flooded HOV lane and was briefly blinded in a narrow lane with no shoulder and some sort of road debris.

Thanks, I hope everybody stays and plays it safe. It seems like the rain has mostly taken a toll on the outer parts of the city, in the North and by the Brazos river. Fortunately by me the rain stops as soon as it looks like the street has an inch of surface water.
